Share your experiences at XP 2010!
XP 2010 experience reports provide a great opportunity to report on leading-edge practice and to start a constructive dialog with other practitioners and researchers.
Experience reports can describe the use of cutting edge methods or to explore what went well (or not so well) while implementing existing methods; you may want to discuss a particular practice or tool, or to share practical experiences across several projects. Whatever your interests, we warmly invite you to submit an experience report to the XP2010 conference in beautiful Trondheim, Norway.
We hope that you will consider submitting a 1-2 page proposal by January 3rd. Chosen proposals will receive shepherding - personal coaching from another agile practitioner or researcher who will help you explore your topic and find the best way to share your knowledge with a wider audience. Please read the submission details below, or contact us directly with any questions or comments.
Kind regards,
Angela Martin

Submission and selection process
Initial submission. Due January 3, 2009
The initial submission should provide enough information for us to make a decision. Please include the following information in a 1-2 page PDF document:
- Abstract outlining proposed topic
- Description of why you feel this topic is important
- Proposed structure for report (e.g. outline of main header text). Try to clearly indicate the content that will appear in your final submission.
- Author background and experience: name, affiliation, contact information, summary of research/industry/agile experience
The experience report committee will conduct an in-depth review of submissions to identify the set of experiences that will make the best papers and presentations. This may include telephone conversations with proposal authors.
Shepherding. January - February 2010.
Each experience report will be assigned a shepherd who will, through phone and e-mail conversation, provide guidance and support during the paper writing process. Ideally, experience reports should go through several iterations of improvement to ensure a high quality final report.
Final "camera-ready" paper. Due February 24, 2010.
The XP2010 conference proceedings will be published in Springer Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP). Best papers will be invited to submit an extended version to a special section of the Journal of Information and Software Technology.
Other requirements
Papers should not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere. If accepted, the paper must be personally presented at the XP2010 Conference by the author or a co-author. The presenting author(s) must pre-register for the conference before the due date of the camera-ready paper.
