Collaboration, the art of working together on a joint intellectual effort, is an essential part of system and product development. Collaboration is generally learned on the job rather than by academic training. This panel will review challenges, including: organization, geography, culture (norms, beliefs, shared vocabulary), and communication (both verbal and non-verbal) - and the mechanisms now available to ameliorate. This panel will bring together a set of experts to discuss, debate and propose collaboration strategies for the 21st century.
